Lily Allen on music comeback: "I’m not trying to take over the world"

Lily Allen has admitted that world domination isn't part of her music comeback game plan.

The singer returned to the scene earlier this year after laying dormant for some time as she started a family.

Speaking in Esquire, the Brit said that she isn't looking to make a global impact with her new tunes.

Using superstar Rihanna as an example, Allen said:

"I feel very lucky. I couldn’t ask for much more really. And actually I’m not really asking for much more. I’m not trying to take over the world here. I don’t want to be Rihanna. I want to sell some records, sell some tickets to my shows and live my life."

Speaking meanwhile about why she decided to temporarily quit music, the singer said: "I was at the end of my tether. I’d had enough of people constantly hacking at me. And I think once you’re exhausted physically and mentally, it does get you down."

Allen meanwhile recently self-confirmed for next year's Glastonbury Festival.
