The Novatones Set to Release New Material

Southampton’s very own indie four piece The Novatones are set to release their eagerly anticipated new EP ‘Sunday Romance’ on the 20th September.

Fresh from their well-received performance at this year’s Isle of White Festival, the boys entered the studio to get their latest offering ready for the waiting public.

Previous releases ‘For Monies Sake’ and ‘Begging at the Bunhouse’ have seen, Anthony Pittman (Guitar and Lead Vocals), Sean Swift (Drums and Percussion) Mackenzie Gordon-Smith (Guitar and Backing Vocals) and Toby Hornby-Patterson (Bass and Backing Vocals), develop a growing fan base that is starting to spread far beyond their south coast home.

The video for the wonderfully catchy ‘Living for the Weekend’ has gained some impressive numbers on YouTube and shows the band at their playful best. Jangling indie pop guitars and a chorus that hooks you right into the weekend, make this tune a growing indie staple.

The more melodic ‘Avenue Road’ shows a more sensitive side to the band with its heartfelt lyrics and gentler sound.

The Novatones impressive back catalogue shows a band that are continually growing musically and the new EP will see the further development of a band at the top of its game.

August will see the release of some tasters from the new EP but at the moment you can check out what the band have been up to so far here.
