London born singer-songwriter Alexander Wolfe has just released his third album and it’s his most ambitious to date. From the Shallows brings a new fuller sound after the stripped-down album Skeletons. This new collection has taken a no rules and restrictions approach which lets each song shine brightly in their own right.

Lead track Trick of the Light sets the tone with a catchy foot tapping tune that encompasses some classy strings and trumpets. The rest of the album follows suit, with each song taking you on a unique journey. A brilliant collection of songs which fall perfectly from one to the next. Outstanding horn and string arrangements mixed perfectly with guitars adds so much to this album, a sublime guest vocal from Gabrielle Aplin is the cherry on top in the beautiful Still Life.

With the first album Morning Brings a Flood breaking ground on both sides of the Atlantic, garnering impressive reviews along the way, From the Shallows is set to take Alexander Wolfe to an even higher level.
