Linkin Park to offer free bootlegs to concert goers

Last year wasn't the strongest for the music industry but rockers Linkin Park are hoping to make themselves more accessible to fans in 2011.

The band is offering a great incentive to its concert goers by giving every fan who attends one of the shows a recording of the gig at no additional cost above the ticket price.

Members of the audience will be able to text a short code, which will be displayed during the concert, to gain access to a download of a free 'bootleg'. Linkin Park's bassist, Dave Farrell, tells WENN:

"The energy we get from our fans is what makes a great show,"

"We wanted to show our appreciation by giving that experience back to them."
