SECOND SINGLE ‘SURPRISE SURPISE’ – RELEASED 17 SEPTEMBERNEW ALBUM ‘DEAD SILENCE’ – RELEASED 10 SEPTEMBER 

In May Billy Talent released a taster of what was to come from their brand new album in the form of huge return-to-form single ‘Viking Death March’. This first single was met by fans with huge excitement and anticipation for their fourth album ‘Dead Silence’ - set for release on 10 September. Following this, the guys have announced the second single to be released from Dead Silence; ‘Surprise Surprise’ will be released on 17 September. 

To celebrate the release of Dead Silence, last week Rock Sound announced that Billy Talent would be headlining their Rock Sound Riot tour 2012 in November, kicking off on 6 November in Manchester. The guys will make their way around the country for an 11-date tour with a huge London show at the prestigious Roundhouse on 11 November. One not to miss!Says Rock Sound editor Ben Patashnik: "It's awesome to be working with Billy Talent, a band all at Rock Sound has loved for years, and it's genuinely thrilling to be taking this step up into massive venues. Can't wait for November!"2012 is already proving to be an incredibly busy year for the Canadian punk-rockers with the band about to hit the UK for two very intimate and special shows in London on 16 August and Edinburgh on 20 August followed by performances at Reading and Leeds on 25 and 26 August respectively.  

This foursome are just getting warmed up – the rest of the year holds huge things for these punk-rock pioneers and the release of ‘Dead Silence’ will remind everyone exactly why they are considered one of the greatest and perhaps underrated rock bands of a generation.
