MARCUS FOSTER Announces London Show As Part Of UK Tour
“Those who proclaim the virtues of "real music" will be raising their tankards and flagons to Marcus Foster” – Guardian
“Marcus Foster is an island of real talent in the sea of musical mediocrity” – The 405 9/10 album review
“An excellent debut from a highly promising singer-songwriter” – DIY Magazine 8/10 album review
“If his path is well-trodden, he swaggers along it in style” – NME
Since the release of his critically acclaimed debut album 'Nameless Path' at the end of last year, Marcus Foster has been penning new songs and subjecting himself to a gruelling – yet not altogether unpleasant – worldwide touring schedule. Following US September support slots with Mercury Music Prize nominated Michael Kiwanuka and Ben Howard, as part of his November UK tour, Marcus will play London’s Islington Assembly Hall on Thursday 15th November. Tickets for the London show are on sale now from www.livenation.co.uk and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
October 2012 will see the release of Marcus’s latest mini-album ‘The Last House’ – his most diverse, yet complete release to date. In his own words: “These songs we recorded in just under ten days, they are pretty raw but I feel like they have captured the energy I put into my live shows. I wanted ‘Worn Down by Time’ to sound similar to an old Otis Redding song or a bit like the way Van Morrison played with The Band on The Last Waltz. It has an old school sound to it and I can't wait to play it live with a horn section.”
