Following their February UK tour, including a sold out London show, Dutch Uncles have announced that they will play London’s Scala on Thursday 2nd May. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 1stFebruary priced at £10 (subject to booking fee) from www.livenation.co.uk or www.ticketmaster.co.uk

New album ‘Out Of Touch In The Wild’ was released earlier this month and has been praised by the likes of Q, The Times, The Fly, NME and Uncut as well as support from Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart, Ally McCrae and Rob Da Bank and singles ‘Fester’ and ‘Flexxin’  both A listed on 6 Music.

With this, their third album to date, there’s been no great reinvention, just great progress: this is a refined version of Dutch Uncles doing what they do best: making labyrinthine pop of Escher-like complexity and crystal clarity.  Unlike previous outings, Out Of Touch In The Wild was written and conceived as a full ‘studio’ album, allowing for greater creative freedom, more sophisticated arrangements and a much larger sonic palette, seeing them utilise strings, piano, analogue synths and tuned percussion more so than guitars.

Out Of Touch In The Wild is the sound of the Dutch Uncles hitting their stride confidently, striking out on their own in fascinating new directions and it lays down an early, compelling gauntlet for 2013.

‘Sophisticated, but also damned groovy’ 8/10 UNCUT

'A gracefully dexterous affair’ MOJO

‘Crystalline pop. Dutch Uncles graduate to the top of the class’ 8/10 NME

‘inventive and straight to the gut loveable’ 4/5 Q

‘From the same genepool as Alt-J and Everything Everything but streets ahead in terms of songcraft’ 4/5 The Times

Sounds like the jackpot pings of a Hot Chip-themed pinball machine played by a champion’ 7.3 Pitchfork
