LMFAO are "the rappers, the rebels" of their Motown family

'Party Rock Anthem' stars, LMFAO, have revealed that their family's background often causes them to stand out as "the rappers, the rebels".

Redfoo and SkyBlu are the son and grandson of the founder of Motown Records, Berry Gordy, so were surrounded by music on a grand scale growing up. The pair told Digital Spy that despite their success so far, their style and sound is very different to their heritage:

"We were like the rappers, the rebels in our family. We'd rap at our family Christmas parties. It was cool, everyone secretly loved it."

"I think he must have inspired us - music is very heavily in our family. We'd have parties where Smokey Robinson would randomly turn up and sing. Ironically we don't sing that much, but we love to sing when given the chance."
