Ashley Roberts has announced that she will unleash new music later this year.

The Pussycat Doll broke the news whilst attending a press conference for ITV's upcoming Dancing on Ice series.

The TV show's judge said: "I'm so grateful for everything that's happening here in the UK. 2014 is going to be an awesome year. I've got music and different campaigns and things and I'm so excited and so grateful. I'm happy to be here and I'm going to be here for a while."

Speaking in more detail about her music plans, Roberts continued: "Music is coming, yeah - March. I'm excited! I've been in the studio, I've been recording, I've been writing - I've just been putting my heart into it.

"This is my baby. I've been through a lot in the past with being in a girl group and coming out on my own - how is it going to do? No matter how it does, I'm so proud of myself for getting in there and doing it and actually getting it out there. It's been a while but it's going to get out there, so I'm excited."

Roberts hasn't been too prolific music-wise since the break up of the Pussycat Dolls, but she did release the track 'Yesterday' as a single in 2012.
