Ellie Goulding plans to record new album this year

Ellie Goulding has pleased fans by revealing plans to make a new album soon.

The singer's last full effort came in the shape of 2012's 'Halcyon', which is currently top of the UK chart as a result of its 2013 re-issue.

Speaking to Capital FM, the Brit said that the next number of months will hopefully see the hitmaker squeeze in some recording time.

When asked what her 2014 plans are, Goulding said: "A new single and then I tour for six months solid! So lots of touring and I'm hoping, also, fingers crossed, to make an album in that time as well. We'll see!"

Her new single is set to be 'Goodness Gracious', with a video for the track recently previewed.

The tune will follow on from previous singles such as 'Burn' and 'How Long Will You Love Me'.

Goulding meanwhile went topless for a new cover shoot for Marie Claire magazine - check out the revealing snaps here.
