Queens of the Stone Age set to create new album

Frontman Josh Homme, of Queens of the Stone Age fame, has revealed that the band have enough material to work on a brand new album so they will spend a big part of this year in the studio.

Speaking to the Rolling Stone, the rocker explained that once autumn arrives they plan to record new music together: "Absolutely. We have more than enough songs. We're booked til September, but after that we plan to jump in the studio and get going."

He added that the creative process is all about freedom and 'getting lost in the moment': "When it's time to make music, that's about getting lost for me."

"To be a control freak is not half as good as being a freak who's casually in control. You're feeling around in the dark for something that feels good. As long as you're not in an orgy, that can be an amazing moment."
