American TV host Nick Cannon has revealed the moment he knew that his wife Mariah Carey was truly 'the one'. 

During a new interview with Ebony magazine, the star explained that he realised Carey was the right woman for him while they were talking about spirituality and the importance of families:

"It was early on when I found out how spiritual she was, and we had conversations about kids and how to live life. For her to share these values, it instantly let me know this is the person I've always wanted."

Cannon also spoke about the twins he has with the vocal sensation, son Moroccan and daughter Monroe, adding that he hopes they don't want to go into the entertainment industry when they're old enough to think about career paths for themselves:

"Me personally, I wouldn't put my kids on television. But as easy as it is for me to say that... if I saw that they really really wanted to and they had the drive, then I would fully support it. As long as there's balance at home, then they could do whatever they wanted to do."
