Dr. Luke denies contributing to Ke$ha's eating disorder and saying she 'looked like a fridge'

Dr. Luke has dismissed claims by Ke$ha's mother that he was partly responsible for the singer's eating disorder.

The 'Tik Tok' star recently confirmed that she was entering a rehab facility for about a month to combat bulimia.

Her mother Pebe Sebert told People that she thinks industry pressure contributed to her daughter's downfall - especially from producer and long-time collaborator Dr. Luke. She said:

"Dr. Luke had been telling her how she had to get in shape and lose weight and all this stuff. She was exercising and dieting and ultimately doing everything she could, but not getting thin fast enough. And that's when she first became bulimic."

Sebert added that songwriter Dr. Luke had apparently "told a friend of ours he thought [Ke$ha] looked like a refrigerator" in one of her music videos.

In a statement, the producer's publicist denied the claims, saying: "These statements and allegations concerning Dr. Luke are completely false. It is unfortunate that at a time Ke$ha is suffering immensely and trying to heal at a treatment center, her mother is taking this approach with the media. I give Ke$ha my utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health."
