Red Hot Chili Peppers to join Bruno Mars for Super Bowl Halftime Show

Bruno Mars is set to be joined by some special guests for his Super Bowl halftime show performance in the form of rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The ‘Gorilla’ singer extended an official invite to the Red Hot Chili Peppers during Fox's broadcast of the NFC Divisional Playoff game between the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks on Saturday (January 11).

Bruno Mars was announced as the Super Bowl Halftime Show performer back in September 2013.

Beyoncé’s halftime show last year drew in 104 million viewers.

The most-watched Super Bowl Halftime show in history saw Madonna’s 2012 performance attract an audience of 112.5 million.

The 48th annual Super Bowl will take place February 2 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
