Interest in Kaiser Chiefs tickets soar by 179%

Ticket sales market place Viagogo has reported that searches for tickets to Kaiser Chiefs concerts have shot up by an incredible 179% since frontman Ricky Wilson joined 'The Voice' panel.

The rocker has just signed up to be a mentor on the show and following his recent performance of 'I Predict A Riot' on the programme's first episode, interest in the band's live concerts has risen significantly.

The band will play a couple of gigs in February (Manchester on February 11 and February 13 in London) and a spokesperson for Viagogo explained that his new found career as a TV star has done wonders for his group's popularity: "Since 'The Voice' returned to screens last weekend, ticket searches for Kaiser Chiefs have grown by a massive 179%. We’ve seen increased interest for both the upcoming Manchester and London shows at the beginning of February."

"It seems that Ricky’s charismatic appearance on Saturday’s show, as well as the judges’ electric performance of the Kaiser Chief’s ‘I Predict a Riot’, has left fans eager to see the rock band live in action."

Earlier this month, Wilson told press that he decided to get involved with 'The Voice' to help raise the Kaiser Chiefs' profile and then sell more records: "I love my band and I want our new record to get noticed. I know that everyone is going, 'He thinks he's going to sell more records and more tickets'. And that is why I'm doing it. I'm not a f*cking idiot."
