Ed Sheeran plans to take a month off

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that he plans to take some time off following the forthcoming GRAMMY Awards, which will take place on January 26.

This year's ceremony is due to take place in a few weekends' time at Staples Center in Los Angeles and the 'Lego House' sensation explained that once it's over he will bow out of the spotlight for around 30 days. He tweeted:

"Taking a month off after the GRAMMYs. Cool s**t will begin after that."

He is up for Best New Artist at the GRAMMYs and also recently confirmed details of a full UK headlining tour that will kick off in October. The jaunt will kick off at Dublin's O2 Arena on October 6 and he has since added extra dates due to phenomenal demand.

Sheeran also opened up about his upcoming new studio album and admitted that he 'fell in and out of love with it': "It was one of these things that I fell in and out of love with. [Rick Rubin] re-energized me to be excited about the album again. [It was] coming at the songs from a different direction and making sure they had the live vibe as well as the actual song craft."
