Miley Cyrus: 'It's hard for girls to be friends with other girls when you're in your twenties'

'We Can't Stop' hitmaker Miley Cyrus has given her opinion on competing and existing alongside other female acts in the music industry.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the relationships between girls in the industry, she explained that there can be huge tension, but she tries to avoid it as women should stick together and support each other.

Sky Ferreira and Icona Pop will open for her on the upcoming 'Bangerz' tour and she confessed that it's important to let these friendships blossom: "I think it's hard for friends that are in their 20s to be friends with other girls."

"There's a lot of competition, and what I love about her is we've never felt that way. Icona, they had a really good year, and I think they're a band that people can look out to be rising even more."

Cyrus also admitted that she might have some special guests to surprise fans who come out to the 'Bangerz' tour: "I have friends that worked on my album in all of these cities, so anytime I'm in the same city, I'm definitely gonna drag everybody out."
