The National and Haim to perform at new BBC 6 Music festival

The National and Haim have been confirmed for the inaugural BBC 6 Music Festival.

The radio station announced today (January 21) that they will be holding a two-day shindig at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on February 28 and March 1.

They have now confirmed that The National will play the Stage 1 on March 1 whilst US trio Haim will perform on the same stage on February 28.

Metronomy, Drenge and Jimi Goodwin meanwhile will play Stage 2 on the first night and James Blake will also play the second second on the next night.

Over 30 artists and DJs will perform in total over the two days and more announcements are due soon.

Tickets for the event will go on sale from Friday (January 24).
