Ellie Goulding set to stay at No.1 on UK albums chart

Ellie Goulding is on course to spend another week at the top of the UK albums chart.

Her effort 'Halcyon' - boosted by a 2013 re-issue - has been performing well in the post-Christmas market and the Official Charts Company have confirmed today (January 22) that it is currently No.1.

However, a number of albums are hot on her heels. Last week's No.1 - Bruce Springsteen's 'High Hopes' - has dropped one place to No.2, whilst Beyoncé's self-titled effort is No.3.

Strictly Come Dancing star Sophie Ellis-Bextor has reached No.4 with her new entry, 'Wanderlust'.

At No.5 meanwhile is the self-titled record from Warpaint, whilst Mogwai's 'The Rave Tapes' follows at No.6.

Other new entries this week include Mike and the Mechanics' 'The Singles - 1986-2014', which has charted at No.22.
