Daft Punk and Macklemore win big at Grammys

Daft Punk and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were among the big winners at this year's Grammy Awards.

The glitzy awards ceremony took place last night (January 26) in Los Angeles and it was Daft Punk who dominated with five wins.

The French electronic duo won the album and record of the year gongs, as well as the best pop duo/group performance and best dance/electronica album. Their record 'Random Access Memories' also bagged the best engineered album, non-classical prize.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won best new artist, best rap album, song and performance, whilst Justin Timberlake bagged three Grammys.

17-year-old New Zealander Lorde took home two awards, including the coveted song of the year prize for her track 'Royals'.

Other winners on the night included Sir Paul McCartney (best rock song and best music film), Black Sabbath (best metal performance) and Rihanna (best urban contemporary album).

Michael Bublé won the best traditional pop vocal album with his effort 'To Be Loved' whilst Alicia Keys won the best R&B album prize for her 'Girl on Fire' record.
