Katy Perry to "fly around the arena" on Prismatic tour

Katy Perry has revealed that she will literally "fly" around venues on her upcoming tour.

The US songstress is due to take her Prismatic tour around the globe from May onwards, with the first batch of dates taking place in Northern Ireland and Britain.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Grammy Awards last night (January 26), the 'Unconditionally' beauty said that the tour will go the next level of "fun".

Perry said: "Every week we get together at my kitchen table and we kind of just go at it. What we're going to play, what we're going to look like, how we're going to fly around the arena.

"It's going to be the most fun show you've seen. And that's saying a lot because I thought my last tour was pretty fun. Everybody left that tour being sprayed with confetti and whipped cream."

The tour will come in support of her 2013 album 'Prism', which topped charts across the world late last year. Perry recently unveiled a picture of what the tour's stage set-up will look like, with fans in the thick of the action.

The singer meanwhile performed 'Dark Horse' at the Grammys alongside Juicy J, but she didn't win any awards.
