Ed Sheeran, Paolo Nutini and The Cure to play Teenage Cancer Trust gigs

The likes of Ed Sheeran and Paolo Nutini have been confirmed for a series of Teenage Cancer Trust concerts in the spring.

The charity are hosting a number of shows at London's Royal Albert Hall in March to raise funds for their cause.

Sheeran will kick things off on March 24, with a comedy evening featuring the likes of Jason Manford and Micky Flanagan due to take place the next night.

Paolo Nutini, who will release his new album 'Caustic Love' in April, will take to the stage on March 26 whilst the previously announced OneRepublic will follow a day later.

The Cure will play on March 29 and Suede will hit the Royal Albert Hall on March 30.

The events have been curated by The Who's Roger Daltrey and Noel Gallagher. Ed Sheeran commented on the news:

"When Noel asked me to play last year, I couldn't as I was touring Australia. I promised him and Roger that if they wanted me another time I'd be there, so here I am! I'm the same age as some of the people the charity helps and it's a real honour to be asked. I hope we raise lots of money and awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust."

Tickets for the shows will go on sale from January 31.
