Justin Bieber has released the video for his track 'Confident'.

The song featured on the singer's 'Journals' collection and it includes a cameo from the rapper Chance.

Its video has now been released and it sees Bieber chase after a girl who seems to take his fancy.

He chats her up before finally getting her phone number and a kiss at the end of the clip.

The video's release, however, distracts somewhat from news breaking overnight that the 19-year-old has been charged by Toronto police with assault.

He is accused of striking a limousine driver in the city on December 30.

Bieber was also arrested earlier this month in Miami accused of DUI, driving without a valid licence and resisting arrest.

That case will next face court on February 14 whilst the assault charge will be heard on March 10.
