Bruno Mars on Super Bowl performance: 'The microphone turns into a popsicle'

Singer-songwriter Bruno Mars will perform at the Super Bowl half time show this coming weekend and admitted that practising for his set has been painful because of the low temperatures.

The hitmaker is set to be headlining the annual halftime show on Sunday, February 2, and he told MTV News that rehearsing for the performance in the state of New Jersey has been trying because it's just so cold there at the moment:

"The microphone turns into a popsicle and all these things you don''t really think about going into it."

He also opened up about having picked Red Hot Chili Peppers to play at the show too, adding: "I've been a fan of theirs for such a long time, I admire their career. They're a soulful band and not just musically, but as people... It's an honour to be sharing a stage with them. They're one of my personal favourite bands of all time."
