Sky Ferreira: 'I find it funny when people call Miley Cyrus a bad feminist'

Songstress Sky Ferreira has spoken out in support of former Disney starlet Miley Cyrus for being such a provocative character in her music career.

During a new interview with Q magazine, Ferreira explained that Cyrus is a great role model and she appreciates how much support she gives to other female solo artists, which is important:

"She's a smart person. She's really supportive of other girls her age, which I don't usually find with pop stars. That's why I find it funny when people call her a bad feminist. She's actually one of the most supportive artists I've met."

Cyrus, who has signed Ferreira up to support her on the upcoming Bangerz tour, admitted that it's tough to form strong female bonds in such a competitive industry:

"I think it's hard for friends that are in their 20s to be friends with other girls. There's a lot of competition, and what I love about her is we've never felt that way. Icona, they had a really good year, and I think they're a band that people can look out to be rising even more."
