Mariah Carey and Jennifer Hudson to perform at the BET Honors 2014

The upcoming BET Honors 2014 will boast performances from the likes of vocal sensation Mariah Carey, Janelle Monáe, and Jennifer Hudson.

It was announced earlier today (February 6) that the beauties will all treat event goers to live sets at the show, which is due to be filmed on February 8 at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., and it will then premiere in the USA on February 24.

BET’s international network will also air the Honors show, which is held to celebrate the achievements of distinguished African Americans, on February 28. The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, is one of this year's honourees.

Other performers include the legendary Smokey Robinson, Tamar Braxton, and Karen Clark Sheard.

Monáe, meanwhile, has just announced that she will be touring the UK in May and is set to play at the Manchester Academy 1 on May 7, the Birmingham Institute on May 8, and then at London's Brixton Academy on May 9. Tickets for all of the concerts are due to go on sale on February 7.
