T-Pain says some rappers don't want to work with Frank Ocean because of his sexuality

T-Pain has admitted that some rappers aren't keen on working with Frank Ocean as a result of his sexuality.

The 'Channel Orange' man revealed via a letter in 2012 that his first love was a man.

The news was somewhat revelatory as rap and hip-hop aren't generally considered very gay-accepting.

Speaking to Vlad TV, T-Pain said that he thinks homophobia is still tangible within the community, saying:

"I think the radio is getting more gay-friendly. I don't think urban music is getting more gay-friendly because if that was the case, Frank Ocean would be on a lot more songs. I know n***as that will not do a song with Frank Ocean just because he gay, but they need him on the f**king song and that's so terrible to me, man... What I do ain't going to affect nothing that you got going on."

He added: "You ever notice how homophobic n***as is all the time? It's like, dude if you ain't gay, then gay things shouldn't bother you, gay people shouldn't bother you. You can say gay things but not be seen as gay. You don't gotta say, 'No homo.' You ain't gotta say, 'I want a hot dog, no homo...' Be comfortable with your manhood. We know you f**k bitches my n***a."
