'Glee' star Matthew Morrison: 'It would be great to get One Direction on the show'

Singer and actor Matthew Morrison, who plays Mr. Schuester on the hit U.S. musical drama 'Glee', has revealed that he would love UK based boyband to make a cameo at some point in the near future.

Speaking to the Daily Star recently, Morrison (pictured left with other cast members) explained that the 'Best Song Ever' lads are the right age to portray high school students and their vocal abilities would be welcomed with open arms:

"To have One Direction on would be great for the show."

He added: "They are not much older than high school age so we could have them as students."

Back in 2012, the cast of 'Glee' covered One Direction's 'What Makes You Beautiful' and member Niall Horan told the British press that they're all huge fans of the programme so being involved even just on that level was amazing: "To have a song in 'Glee' is just fantastic. We're all big fans of the show and are so excited they chose 'What Makes You Beautiful' for an episode."
