Carly Rae Jepsen on 'Cinderella' role: 'I'm living a fairy tale every night'

Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen has opened up about playing Cinderella on Broadway and confessed that it's a life-long ambition realised.

Speaking to Teen Vogue about her leading role in the ongoing production, the 'Call Me Maybe' beauty gushed that the life she's living at the moment is nothing short of a dream: "I'm basically living a Cinderella fairy tale every night. I get lost in the character, which I really enjoy after the last two years I've had."

She added that starring in a theatrical show was something she always wanted to do and she can't believe it's finally a reality: "One time on tour, my band was going around, revealing our bucket list dreams, and when it was my turn - and I'm not kidding - I said, 'I've always wanted to be in a Broadway show and one day before I die, that's something that has to happen'."

"It's a total dream come true. When a role like this comes around, you can't say no - you just gotta jump in."

Jepsen began her role on the stage earlier this month, on February 4, and will play Cinderella for the next three months in New York City.
