Miguel has 'clear vision' for new album: 'It's coming along so well'

28-year-old singer-songwriter Miguel has revealed that he's hard at work on a brand new album, but feels as though he has a "clear vision" for the record so the process is going smoothly so far.

Speaking exclusively to Billboard magazine about the exciting new project, he explained that knowing the direction you want to go in is half the battle: "It's coming great. I have a very clear vision, and I have a very clear goal. I know what I want, and I'm getting there."

"When you hear music in your head, and you're actually creating it, it feels good. As a musician, we hear things in our heads, and sometimes it doesn't really come out the way we hear it. Somehow, this time around, it's coming out exactly how I imagined it. The only thing I want to do is be in the studio, because you never want to forsake your creativity. You want to honor it."

Earlier this year, Miguel confessed that when he wrote Beyoncé's 'Rocket', he stepped inside the head of Jay Z because it helped capture the heat and passion the lyrics exude: "If I was Jay, what would I want her to sing to me? And what have we not heard from Beyoncé yet and that's where the very first line comes from in the song."
