Daft Punk imposters pose in underwear at BRITs

Two men pretending to be Daft Punk took to the BRIT Awards red carpet last night (February 19).

Heads turned at the music awards ceremony when the imposters tried to enter the event whilst posing for photos.

However, they were wearing green underwear with the name of bookies Paddy Power emblazoned across them.

They were sent by the Irish bookmakers to stir up a bit of fun and generate some publicity for the betting company. However, they were soon asked to leave.

Paddy Power wrote on their blog: "We agree with what Noel Gallagher said about the Brits last year. The event could do with a bit more craic. It’s about as rock’n’roll as a baby shower. We decided to drop our trousers early and get out of there as our Daft Punk lookalikes were gagging to get to the pub to watch the Arsenal game. We tried to take One Direction with us but they didn’t have any ID."

The real Daft Punk meanwhile won the Best International Group prize at the BRITs, with 'Get Lucky' collaborator Nile Rodgers on hand to collect the award.
