Michelle Heaton has become a mother for the second time.

The Liberty X singer confirmed on Twitter today (February 28) that she had given birth to a boy.

She wrote: "Thank you all so much for your well wishes.. Mine & @hughhanley little boy is snuggled into us and we are the happiness parents ever.. Xx."

Her husband Hugh Hanley had previously written: "Our little man arrived this morning at 8.49am my beautiful wife @wonderwomanshel was amazing, I'm so proud of her. Both are doing great."

Heaton gave birth to her first child Faith in 2012.

Later that year, however, the singer and media personality underwent a double mastectomy and had her ovaries removed to allay her high chances of cancer.

This was because she carries the BRCA-2 gene, which meant that she had a 80% of getting breast cancer and a 30-40% chance of developing ovarian cancer.
