Bastille remain at the top of UK albums chart with 'Bad Blood'

Despite close competition, British band Bastille have held on to the number one spot in the albums chart.

‘Bad Blood’ – Bastille’s debut studio album – is now spending its third non-consecutive week at No. 1.

Bastille managed to overtake Beck by 1000 copies to retain their chart position.

Arctic Monkeys’ ‘AM’ is a non-mover at No. 2. Ellie Goulding’s ‘Halcyon Days’ is working its way back up the chart once again as it shifts up one place to No. 3. Although Beck’s ‘Morning Phase’ was named No. 1 in the midweek charts and had a lead of 450 sales, the LP has debuted at No. 4. Finishing off the top five is ‘Beyoncé’ as the ‘Drunk In Love’ star rises two places to No. 5.

New entries to this week’s chart come from Wild Beasts at No. 8 with ‘Present Tense’, Reverend and The Makers’ ‘ThirtyTwo’ at No. 13, St. Vincent’s self-titled album debuts at No. 21 and ScHoolboy Q’s ‘Oxymoron’ at No. 23.
