Ed Sheeran and Sir Elton John have performed 'Candle in the Wind' together.

The British singer-songwriter joined the veteran pianist at his annual Oscars bash last night (March 2) in Los Angeles.

They ran through his classic 1973 track 'Candle in the Wind', with Sheeran providing acoustic guitar and vocals.

The '+' man has recorded a version of the song for an upcoming re-issue of John's seminal 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' album.

The Elton John Aids Foundation, who hosted the event, said on Twitter: "Taking stage! @edsheeran is blowing the roof off this house. Such a good performer! #EJAFOscarParty thanks for supporting a great cause!"
