A spokesman for The Wanted has revealed that Jay McGuiness received some "cuts and bruises" after being caught up in a bar fight.

Numerous tabloid reports allege that the singer was boozing in Essex on Sunday (March 9) with bandmate Tom Parker.

However, it is claimed that McGuiness got caught up in a brawl and was left with blood streaming out of his mouth.

A rep for the group has since stated: "There was an altercation in the club that Jay found himself in the middle of. He ended up with some minor cuts and bruises."

The Wanted meanwhile are currently rehearsing for their upcoming UK tour, which will be their last.

It will open in Liverpool on March 14 and the group will later head to the US for more dates in April and May.
