Adam Lambert has drafted in producer Max Martin for his next album.

The vocal powerhouse is currently working on his third record and Billboard have confirmed that Martin, who worked with Lambert on his 2009 debut 'For Your Entertainment', is on board.

The producer has worked with the likes of Justin Bieber and Katy Perry in the past.

Singer-songwriter Joe Janiak told Billboard that Martin asked him and numerous other "song experts" to come to Sweden to work on tracks.

Speaking about Lambert's upcoming record, which is due out later this year, Janiak said:

"I think there are going to be big things on this record, because the focus is on really strong songwriting and performance and stuff like that. They're really locking in on all of [Lambert's] strong points and just making him even better. I think that's definitely going to be an exciting one."

Swedish singer Tove Lo recently revealed that she has also been working with Lambert on new tunes.
