The Voice UK to film another two series

BBC music talent show The Voice UK has had its contract renewed for a further two series.

The Voice will be shown on UK screens once again in 2015 and 2016 thanks to the ratings of the current series.

The third, and present, series of The Voice features Kylie Minogue, Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Kasier Chief Ricky Wilson in the spinning coaches' chairs.

The Australian pop star and ‘I Predict A Riot’ singer were added to the coaching line up to replace The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue and Jessie J who left The Voice after two series.

The current series of The Voice has been enjoying average weekly viewing figures of 8.9 million.

BBC One Controller Charlotte Moore has stated: “It's been fantastic to see The Voice return in top form to kick start BBC One's brilliant year so far, the new line-up has really connected with audiences and I look forward to it returning to the channel next year.”

The BBC’s Entertainment Comissioning Controller, Mark Linsey, also commented: “The Voice has really cemented itself as hugely popular on BBC One Saturday nights and I am delighted that we will be dusting down the iconic red chairs for another airing next year.”

However the forthcoming series of The Voice UK will see another coaching line-up change as Kylie Minogue has already confirmed that she will not be appearing on the show once the current cycle comes to an end.
