Fall Out Boy on new music: 'When you least expect it, it will appear'

'Alone Together' rockers Fall Out Boy have teased that they're already working on new music but are taking a more 'as and when the inspiration hits them' approach this time around.

Speaking about a potential new record, member Pete Wentz explained that they're not hugely focused on getting the project done by a deadline and instead are more excited to just have a no-pressure mindset with:

"I would say that we're not very far along but I would say that we're also not focused. We're the kind of band I think that with version 2.0 of what we're doing right now... Like 'Pax Am' was very spur of the moment and I think we have other spur of the moment things that will and are happening, but we'll get sidetracked."

"I feel like we're definitely at the point where we're doing Fall Out Boy the way we want to and using the methods we want to use. At the last time you expect it I would say expect it."
