Cher Lloyd tells children's hospital patients to follow their dreams

British 'X Factor' finalist Cher Lloyd recently paid a visit to patients from the Cincinnati Children's Hospital and told them to follow their dreams during a meet and greet session.

Speaking to patients at the at Seacrest Studios, she explained that being able to inspire children staying at the healthcare facility was something she really wanted to do and she was more than happy to talk about her career to date as well as to give advice to aspiring singers:

"What I do is so glamorous, so it is nice to be able to sort of give something back. I feel like I'm doing something that may put a smile onto a child's face. When I started to love music, I really loved listening to other people's music and then one day it was something... I was in my bedroom, I put on the radio and started singing along. And that's how I became a singer."

When asked what it was like to take part on 'The X Factor', Lloyd confessed: "It was very fun, but scary at the same time because you didn't know if you were going to be voted out one week, or if you'd be staying [...] My advice would be if you're passionate about it and you really want to do it, take the time to experience it. There's nothing like putting on a great song and feeling good when you listen to it."
