Lily Allen confirms one-off New York City show

'Air Balloon' songstress Lily Allen has confirmed that she will perform a one-off concert in New York City in May.

She is set to headline the Highline Ballroom on May 15, which will be her first NYC show since 2009, and the hitmaker is also due to make an appearance on the 'Today' show one day earlier. On May 23, Allen will also be a guest on 'Live with Kelly & Michael'.

Her forthcoming and highly anticipated new record, entitled 'Sheezus', will be officially released in the UK on May 5 and on Monday, April 28 she will perform live in London at the Shepherd's Bush Empire to celebrate the album's launch.

Back in March, Allen replied to a fan who criticised her new material as being "docile pop rubbish" and explained that the radio stations won't play other songs from her album because they're sticking with safe releases such as 'Air Balloon' and 'Hard Out Here': "What you've heard so far yes. All I can do is do my best, the labels and the radio stations won't play the better stuff."
