One Direction's new music video director: I'd love to work on their future visuals'

Ben Winston, who directed One Direction's new music video for 'You & I', took to his Twitter page this afternoon (April 18) after the video's premiere and confessed that he would love to work on projects with the lads in the future.

He replied to one fan who suggested that the offering was "so amazing" he should be hired to direct every music video they release and told them that he would be honoured to continue working with them: "Would love to."

One follower asked him if he put the heartthrobs in matching outfits so that they could blend into each other in the video, Winston admitted that it was the only way that visual trick would work: "They would never wear the same thing otherwise!"

The director was also flooded with questions asking why he didn't do a close-up shot of member Zayn Malik while he was singing the high note and confessed that they opted for a cool effect rather than a straight shot of his face: "So sorry! Would have loved to but it was either that cool effect or a close up so went for the effect!."

Winston, meanwhile, is currently trending on Twitter and fans of One Direction have been making funny pictures to thank him for doing such a fantastic job with the clip (one is pictured above left).
