Lauryn Hill has announced plans to play one show in the UK later this year.

The R&B singer will perform at London's O2 Brixton Academy on September 20.

Tickets for the date - which is only her second in the country in five years - will go on sale from 9am UK time on Friday (May 2).

Hill released her debut album 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' in 1998 and the record hit No.1 in the US.

However, she has remained somewhat reclusive since and has yet to issue a full follow-up album.

The former Fugees singer meanwhile served a three-month jail sentence in 2013 for tax evasion.
