Lorde has been added to the line-up of this year's BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.

The UK broadcaster is due to host a massive event at Glasgow Green over May 23-25, with the likes of Coldplay, Katy Perry and One Direction set to perform.

A new batch of artists were announced last night (April 28), with Lorde set to play the In New Music We Trust stage on May 24.

Other new names include Example, Clean Bandit, You Me At Six, Sam Smith, Katy B and CHVRCHES.

They're joined by the likes of The Kooks, Klaxons and Gorgon City.

Tickets for the event are free, but they have already been issued to applicants.
