Lily Allen: 'I'm halfway through writing a new album'

'Sheezus' hitmaker Lily Allen has revealed that she is currently working on a new album although she's unsure if she has it in her to ever release a fifth record.

Speaking about her plans for the future to Q magazine, Allen explained that being there for her children is obviously the most important thing to her but she is already 'halfway through' a fourth record:

"When my kids start school I want to really be there. This was a little pocket of time I had to do this."

Allen added: "One last hurrah and then I want to write musicals and songs for other people. I'm already halfway through a fourth album. Whether I can stretch to a fifth, I don't know."

She also admitted that she doesn't feel as though her latest full-length offering is her best, but said that she thinks she can do better: "I felt such relief that I could connect with myself again. I don't want to slag off my own work because I am proud of this record, but I think there's probably better to come from me and there's been better stuff in the past as well. I was just relieved to have something that slightly resembled me because I'd felt so far away from me."
