5 Seconds of Summer want to "rock out" at Summertime Ball

5 Seconds of Summer have spoken of their desire to "just rock out" during their upcoming slot at Capital FM's Summertime Ball.

The band were one of many acts announced today (May 8) for the Wembley Stadium event due to be held in London on June 21.

Speaking to Capital FM, the Australians admitted that they don't quite know what expect from the gig, which will also star Miley Cyrus and Ed Sheeran.

However, they will do their best to "rock out" and have a good time. Michael Clifford said:

"We've never been to one so we don't really know what other people do so I guess we're just gonna do what we do."

Calum Hood added: "We're just gonna rock out and have some fun."

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile are due to perform at Wembley Stadium on June 6, 7 and 8 as support for One Direction.
