Sam Smith's new track 'Stay With Me' has reached No.1 on the UK singles chart.

The Official Charts Company have confirmed in today's (May 21) midweek update that the song is currently outselling its nearest rival by two copies one.

If the track stays put come Sunday (May 25) then Smith will have bagged his third UK No.1 single.

He previously hit No.1 with Naughty Boy's 'La La La' before topping the chart with his solo song 'Money on My Mind'.

At No.2 on the midweek update is Fuse ODG's new entry 'Dangerous Love', which features Sean Paul.

Mr. Probz's 'Waves' is No.3 whilst Rita Ora's 'I Will Never Let You Down' drops from the top spot to No.4.

Rounding off the midweek update's top five meanwhile is Clean Bandit's new entry 'Extraordinary'.
