Nile Rodgers eyes more Avicii collaborations

Nile Rodgers has confirmed that he is looking into working with Avicii again.

The Chic guitarist previously teamed up with the Swedish DJ and singer Adam Lambert on the 2013 song 'Lay Me Down'.

It was said at the the time that their sessions were extremely productive and Rodgers has now stated that he hopes to continue their working relationship soon.

The hitmaker told the Daily Star: "I’m concentrating on my new album and performing with Prince a lot. I talked with Avicii to arrange working with him some more, but first I’m doing a TV show with Pharrell Williams."

Chic are due to headline this year's Bestival festival in the Isle of Wight in September and Rodgers has suggested that it could be a glitzy show.

He said: "I just made a bet with the organiser Rob da Bank – if he could make the world’s biggest disco ball that will top the Guinness Book Of World Records, then I promise the best ever headline set."

Rodgers meanwhile was speaking after he collected the PRS for Music Special International Award honour at Thursday's (May 22) Ivor Novello Awards.
