Bombay Bicycle Club disappointed by One Direction's lack of Big Weekend showmanship

Bombay Bicycle Club have revealed that they were left disappointed and a little confused by One Direction's performance at BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend.

The boyband played the main stage at the event in Glasgow Green at 1pm on Saturday (May 24) to open the massive event.

However, Bombay Bicycle Club - who also played over the weekend - were left nonplussed by the pop group's set.

Jack Steadman said: "We saw One Direction before our set. I was genuinely puzzled by their performance. I mean I wasn't expecting to enjoy the music but I was expecting to enjoy their showmanship but they all got on stage and almost just had their hands in their pockets, it was bizarre."

One Direction meanwhile played at the Radio 1 event on the same day as they headlined Dublin's Croke Park.
