5 Seconds of Summer score biggest first week sales yet in the US

5 Seconds of Summer's new track has become the band's best performing song in terms of first week digital sales in the US.

The Australians recently offered the song 'Good Girls' to the public via iTunes and it seems it proved popular.

Billboard have confirmed that the tune had 121,000 downloads over the last week to land at No.8 on the Digital Songs list.

This beat 5 Seconds of Summer's previous record of 91,000 sales, which was set by previous track 'Don't Stop'.

The band meanwhile are currently on tour supporting One Direction in Europe.

They are due to play London's Wembley Stadium on Friday (June 6) as the Where We Are run continues.
