Beyoncé accused of 'selling sex to teeny-boppers' by actress Lily TomlinActress and comedienne Lily Tomlin (pictured left) has revealed that while she thinks Beyoncé is a great performer and singer, she can't help but see her as "selling a lot of sex to teeny-boppers". Speaking to PrideSource, Tomlin was asked what she thought of the 'Halo' hitmaker as a 'modern-day feminist' and explained that she doesn't like the way that pop culture is so sexualised because it sends out the wrong message to youngsters: "She is a pretty popular woman and she's married to a very powerful man, but she's still selling sex." "I like her! I don't dislike her! But I don't pay any attention to that because—I mean, she's fantastically beautiful and dances, but, you know, it's very suggestive. If I was a 10-year-old, I would try to emulate her like most 10-year-olds do." Tomlin, who starred in 'Desperate Housewives' and the movie 'I Heart Huckabees', concluded: "If you played her songs, I wouldn't necessarily recognise them. I'm familiar with her image and how incredibly vivacious and sexual she is to watch, so I just chalk it up to the culture." Follow us: @Pressparty on Twitter / Pressparty on Facebook.
